This particular modem facilitates extremely fast and secure downloading of software, parameters, black list etc... significantly lowering cost of ownership and enhancing ease-of-use. The terminal supports the TCP/IP protocol enabling direct interconnection with the Worldwide Web for data and electronic commerce. Superior transaction speed and functionality can also be accredited to the unit's powerful 32-bit microprocessor and fast, but highly reliable, thermal printer! The NURIT's basic platform supports all traditional mag-stripe means of payment, and may be easily upgraded to use an optional smart card acceptor and PIN pad to securely process other diverse methods of payment popular today, or planned for tomorrow.
