The NURIT® 8400 terminal accepts all major credit cards, signature debit and Level II purchasing cards. This high-performance, multi-functional solution incorporates a magnetic card swipe, a secure, Payment Card Industry PIN Entry Device (PCI PED) approved internal Personal Identification Number (PIN) pad, a high-speed modem and a fast, quiet thermal printer for maximum efficiency at the point-of-sale. It also offers special, industry-specific applications, including:
- IRS TRAC reporting, gratuity guidelines, and bar tab reporting for restaurants
- Auto-close and summary reports by card type for retail
- Address verification service for e-commerce
How It Works The NURIT 8400 terminal provides a compact design with an internal PCI PED approved PIN pad and a built-in printer that meets current VISA® and MasterCard® security requirements. This terminal accepts credit cards (including American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club®) as well as PIN and signature debit cards. It processes transactions through a dial-up connection. The convenient privacy shield protects your customers during PIN entry, and the optional cable allows you to hand the terminal to your customers for PIN-secured transactions.
